1. Introduction

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Although Forever Farm CLG falls below the statutory turnover threshold that mandates such a statement, we publish one voluntarily. Modern slavery — including forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking and labour exploitation — is fundamentally incompatible with our mission of regeneration, which extends to people as much as to land. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships, and to ensuring modern slavery has no place in our organisation or our supply chains.

2. Our Organisation and Supply Chains

The Forever Farm Foundation™ is a non-profit social enterprise operating in England, working to transform degraded agricultural land into Productive Ecosystems under 1,000-year Regenerative Land Covenants. Our activities and supply chains include:

• regenerative land stewardship, farming and land management;
• research partnerships with universities, catchment bodies and community organisations;
• the organisation of and participation in community events and festivals;
• procurement of agricultural supplies, equipment, professional services and digital services;
• engagement of volunteers, contractors and seasonal workers.

3. Risk Assessment

We recognise that agriculture and seasonal land work are sectors identified by the UK Government and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) as carrying elevated risk of labour exploitation. We treat this with particular seriousness. Our current assessment is that our overall risk exposure is low — reflecting the scale of our operations, our direct relationships with the people who work with us, and our predominantly UK-based supply chains — but we do not treat low risk as no risk.

4. Our Policies and Practices

• We do not use, and will not knowingly work with any organisation that uses, forced, bonded or involuntary labour, or child labour.
• All workers and volunteers engage with us freely, with the right to withdraw at any time; identity documents are never retained.
• Where seasonal or contracted labour is engaged, we pay at or above the applicable statutory minimum and expect the same of our partners; where labour providers are used, we expect GLAA licensing where the law requires it.
• We favour local, transparent and short supply chains — a principle already central to our regenerative model.
• Concerns can be raised confidentially by anyone — worker, volunteer, partner or member of the public — via hello@foreverfarmfoundation.org, and will be investigated promptly and without reprisal.

5. Due Diligence

Before entering significant partnerships or supplier relationships, we consider the labour practices of the organisations involved. We reserve the right to terminate any relationship where credible evidence of modern slavery or labour exploitation emerges and is not remedied. Where we encounter suspected modern slavery, we will report it to the appropriate authorities, including the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline (08000 121 700) and, where relevant, the GLAA.

6. Training and Awareness

Those responsible for engaging workers, volunteers and suppliers are made aware of the indicators of modern slavery and labour exploitation, and of the appropriate channels for raising and escalating concerns.

As the Foundation grows, we will keep our approach under review, deepen supplier due diligence in proportion to our scale, and report annually on the steps we have taken. This statement is reviewed and updated each financial year.
